About Gem Electric

Gem Electric Supply, Inc. got its start in February of 1970, when partners Bill Conrad and John Manning bought an electrical supply store at 3143 W. 95th St. in Evergreen Park. They also bought an empty building at 10334 S. Michigan Ave. in Roseland. With much hard work, and many long hours, both stores began to thrive. In 1975, when the owners of Glacier Furniture, located at 3135 W. 95th St. wanted to retire, Bill and John bought the building and moved the Evergreen Park branch to where it remains today.
