Perfect for the food lover and aficionado in your life! 'My LettuceArt designs began as a spur of the moment party-decorating project in my own home. Tired of using flowers to brighten my living space, I happened to take notice of the feminine and fashion qualities of the veggies found in my local grocery store. Filling my shopping basket with everything from roots to rutabagas, I went home and began transforming vegetation into Venus-like figurines. Because of my fine arts background in textile arts using color, texture, fabrics, and floral design, I was able to see the potential in everyday objects from our kitchen, taking those objects that we see every day and casting a new culinary artistic light on them. 'The unique edible art was an instant hit with my friends and colleagues; I soon found myself having the bevy of beautiful vegetable ladies photographed and featured in various local and national magazines and newspapers, as well as selling as posters nationally and as kitchen art in local restaurants. Steven Spielberg's personal chef even purchased one of my prints while traveling through Harrisburg, Pa.
